Tell me how you feel;Canine body language test
In previous entries titled "why dog barks "and "Look at the world through a dog's point of view", I wrote barking is natural way of communication of dogs and, growling, barking, whining,howling.. everything has its meaning behind it.We just need to learn the language of Dogs.
Dogs do not use just vocalization as way of communication. They use their whole body to communicate with you. Facial expressions, vocal tone, position of ears and tail, body postures can tell you some of how they feel. I think that by observing and capturing whole body messages from your dogs, your bond with your dogs would become stronger, and you and your dogs could communicate better than before.
Many people know wagging tail can mean dogs are happy. Is it the only feeling dog's tail can tell you? According to pawspot site (by Bobbie Bhambree CPDT), tail position, tail movement tells you one part of what your dogs are feeling at the specific moment. For example, low to medium tail position and slow gentle wag means being relaxed, low to medium position with fast wag means friendly, and high position with still or vibrating or fast wag can mean "Stay away","watch out", or playful excitement. Tail between legs can mean submissive or fear. He states reading dog's WHOLE body language is important. By observing the situation and reading dog's all body language, you will be able to communicate with them better. To read more on body language from pawspot site, please click here.

Did you know that dogs drool not just for tasty food/treats but also from car sickness, nervousness or anxiety (at vet office/at day care etc)??
Read situation around your dog with whole body language of them, and understand what they are trying to tell you.
Now,I am confused to feel how my stumpy Miss Palette was feeling. I woke up,she woke up, I said "Morning" to her and she put her nose against crate bar. What do you think she likes to say?
