Giant bunny toy in the house Apr '10
Hi. I am Palette, tri color Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I am k9 executive chef at my mom's "Yassy's Gourmet Dog Kitchen" and,I have dream job of all anipals (aka doggy friends) out there. I do taste test for every single products and every batch of biscuits/Jerky she make for my anipals (aka doggy friends) in US.
Today, my mom let me write about my exciting day for her blog. I thought I would let you all know what is happening here.
Me at 3 months old enjoys my very first toy. This little bunny lasted for 2-3 years.
This is me, at 3 months years old with my very first toy. I loved this bunny toy a lot and carried everywhere I go. It squeaked quite loud and My mom and dad were not fund of me squeaking this bunny when they are on the phone, but I loved this toy. I squeaked to their ears to join in the conversation on the phone. I did not understand what they were talking about on the phone, but I love to be included in everything! One day, mom took a picture of me playing with my very first toy-green bunny squeaky toy. *Pause*
I love to play ball or Frisbee or walkie or school (training, my mom calls it) or maybe "Find it" game with my mom, but sometimes, I love playing with my toys. Some of them talk, some of them challenge me with puzzle (Interactive Puzzle toys, mom call them), some of them squeaks, some of them are so floppy, some of them make different sound when I shake them. I love toys, it is fun to play with them. You would like to meet my toy buddy?

Can you see the soccer ball? I worked so hard when I was puppy to peel off the outer skin and let my mom to pick up all those slimy pieces on floor. That piece is my hours of work. And.. you see the cage toy? That is another favorite toy.There are about 5 pieces of different shapes of squeaky toy and, mom put those into the cage and I put my muzzle into the toy to take the small squeaky toys out from cage. It is fun. And.. can you see the pink piggy? I must admit, I love to chew off ears from toys. This Miss piggy had squeaky ears but, she got only one squeaky ear. And squeaky giraffe right next to Giant bunny got no horns, no ears. I chewed them off.. Sorry, squeaky.. Mom tend to get mouthful, Giant squeaky toys these days because if toys are big, it is hard for me to use molars to chew off pieces from toys. So far, it seems working. She does not like toys made with thin material. I am pro to de-stuff those.
And when I feel like chewing stuff, now I got Antlers. You can see my Antler next to Frisbee. That was with some velvet on, but I peeled them off and now I gnaw them when I feel like gnawing. I got 3 kinds of Antlers and, I choose one to gnaw depending on mood: Regular Antler? Antler Bottom? Or the one used to be with velvet.
I wish I could jump into the toy mountain and play with everyone, but no. Mom picks a few toys out from toy box and rest remain in the toy box. Then, she rotate toys. That is ok though, because it is always fun to find out which ones are this week's toy buddy for me.
Today, mom introduced me to a Giant bunny (you can see him near Mr. elephant). I was very happy when I saw Mr. bunny. But wait, is his head as big as mine??
Mr.Bunny is as big as my head! * Squeak,squeak,squeak*
Hiding behind Mr Giant bunny...
When I play with Mr bunny, I usually do squeak,squeak, toss in the air, run to bunny,shake the bunny, herd him.. Mom could not tape how I herd the Mr. Giant bunny, but playing with him gets me tire out well and, you would find me chilling on cool bed after playing with him.

Resting my muzzle on stair pole too..I am that tired..
This is the final pause before dozing off to dreamland. I need a power nap...
Anyway,that was my story about today. I got a little early Easter surprise from mom. I hope everyone will have fun for Easter.

WOW! We really can't get over how much Palette looks like Grandma OC when she was younger. Those BIG stuffies look like a LOT of fun! The antlers are the only things that last for any length of time around here.
Grammy likes the cool bed idea for during the summer months. Is it like a little water bed?

Giant bunny is very soft in touch and, floppy and it is a lot of fun for Palette:she does shaking,squeaking, herding as such. From long lasting toy aspect, yes, Antler is the longest lasting chew toy among her toys.
As for cool bed, you can read more in previous entry titled "Keeping your dogs cool during summer". It is like doggy water bed in our sense. Dog body temperature is above water temperature and,cool bed cools down dog body temperature faster.I will update the entry later with more detail on cool bed.
