Palette's winter treats diary special edition;December 13th,2011
For our family, last month was fun month for the baking.
Some of you already knows that I have made pull apart pumpkin pie/sweet potato pie cinnamon roll with orange liqueur icing last month. It was a most viewed recipe throughout the month and, it was also a big hit among family and friends.
I like to be creative to make dishes and, when it comes out tasty and hit among family and friends, and see huge grins on their face, that is the moment I enjoy most.
Last month was also Thanksgiving day month and, we had great meal on the day.
Since my husband is not a big fan of Turkey, I have made Surf Turf dish (Sesame crusted Seared Ahi Tuna and steak).
You can find seared herb Ahi Tuna recipe in the previous entry titled "Firebirds Wood Fire Grill menu; Seared Ahi Tuna Part II".
My husband is big fan of Seared Ahi Tuna, and I make seared Ahi Tuna more.
By now, you already notice that Palette is huge fan of seafood and, she eats all kinds of fish. As I was guessing she might like the seared Ahi Tuna (without sauce), she ate one piece in gusto, and stared at us for more.
Palette herself enjoyed Turkey and unexpected mini desert I made it for her; Turkey Cranberry Brownie. I rarely make cup cake type of dog treats for her, but once in a blue moon, I thought it would not hurt and made one this year.
As you can tell from pictures in this entry, she really, really liked them.
I usually put out cool down treats recipe for this series, but as holiday special entry, I thought I would share the Turkey Cranberry Brownie recipe with you.
Now, I will pass a pen to Palette to write her diary here.

Last month was a month I smelled paw-licking aromas floating in the air, and it was a torture for my nose because if you smell the pawlicious aromas in the air, you would imagine what you will be tasting and, it gets my nose wet.
But then, if it turns out it was not mine and no nibbles coming to me, you know how much I get disappointed..
Therefore, I decided to babysit mom's oven so I can tell mom that it is a time to get the yummy out for me to nibble.
If mom left the kitchen to go get something, I follow her and she would never leave my sight. No nibbles without me
When she was making pumpkin and sweet potato cinnamon roll, I could not wait to get a nibble because mom has put very fragrant spices in the dough, and all those spices' aromas was in the air..
When mom and dad put those cinnamon roll onto plate for late night snack with coffee, I ran after them and made sure to position myself right in front of her so they know they are forgetting a plate for their special someone
From my experience, it is tough to get a nibbles from mom but, give dad that sad eye look or serious stare at the food on the plate and, success rate to get a nibble is higher.
Here is one quick tip for furry furriends' to score some nibbles; Concentrate on dads to give your sad eye look or long long stare with drool bubbles around your month. Often times, moms are hard one to score
After some days later from the pumpkin/sweet potato cinnamon roll day, I started seeing more kids out playing when we go for walk and I got "Cute puppy!" comment from little human and,I got to give her wiggling butt moves with my head down, ears fold. I am 6 years old and far from being puppy, but I can be a puppy for them
I seem to be a "Puppy" for forever for little humans but, that is ok. I get lots of attention and lots of petting. I love meeting people!
I can say that Thanksgiving day week ,as my mom calls it, was a week of full of attention from little humans on walk and I really enjoyed the moment.
That Thanksgiving day week, I have got to eat Turkey for meal and, I really really really like Turkey!
Even before my mom placing the Turkey meat on my feeding mat, I just had to sniff test the bag to make sure that I was not dreaming but really the Turkey meal day!
It is just my thing and, I sit and wait for mom to say "ok" to dine in the delicious meal.
One thing that got me surprised was that, the Turkey came with mini desert!!
I love my mom! I gobbled it up with wet nose and I thoroughly inspected mom to make sure she is not hiding any more desert.
Too bad, it was tiny piece, but since I loved it so much that she decided to make it again to show your moms/dads how to make the mini desert;Turkey Cranberry Brownie, and hopefully, you will get to taste them too.
Many pup muffin stuff sold commercially are loaded with sugar or have so many ingredients list and my mom is not a big fan of those.
Mom's are made with all fresh products with simple ingredients and of course, no sugar,no salt, no oil etc.. and once in a blue moon, you could enjoy the bite too!
If you ask me how much I liked.. well, you will get the idea from pictures and videos below I was almost going to nibble mom's finger too. It was just that tasty!

With baked cranberry treats, she went banana. She gets so excited and, always put a big smile on me when I see her trotting to me as fast as she can to claim her mini Turkey Cranberry Brownie desert
