Palette's note:Dehydrated Grass-fed Goat Liver

When you pick up treats for your dogs, what would you look at?

Ingredients? Fancy looking pictures? Description of the products?

Have you ever wondered if you could actually see how other dogs are enjoying them? Not pictures, but in video so that you can actually HEAR and feel the treats' textures?

Some of you may have already recognized I have been putting up treats' taste testing video on youtube so that people can hear the sound, and see Palette in action and get more detail on each  products.

With "Palette's note" series,I like to put taste test videos. This time, "Dehydrated Grass fed Goat liver 12 oz".

Dehydrated Grass fed Goat liver 12 oz..

100% grass-fed dehydrated goat liver made in USA. This treat is made from grass-fed New Zealand Goat liver, and this treat is sold by 12 oz jar.

This treats is easy to cut to small pieces with hands, and perfect as  training treats.

When I sit at the table, cutting one piece to small pieces, Palette comes right up with huge grin and patiently lie down on the floor, and she then waits for my preparation for her training session.

If she were lucky, she gets small piece of "Dehydrated Grass fed Goat liver" that dropped to the floor while I was cutting the piece into small pieces.

Each whole piece of "Dehydrated Grass fed Goat liver" is thinly sliced liver, and if you prefer, you can cut it to a little bigger piece and use it as "Snack before bed",too.

If you do, your dogs may feel like they cannot wait to go to bed each night. Then, after their last potty before bed, you may find your dogs with drool around muzzle
dash to their crate and waiting for you to come with yummy treats .

At our house, Palette gets "Snack before bed", and snack can vary depending on availability but, things that never change is that she dashes to her crate as soon as we back from potty before bed, and I find her in the crate lie down with drool bubbles around muzzle.

She knows the routine, and she knows she gets something yummy before bed. Always "Lets go bed" makes her big ears perk up, and get her so excited to go bed.

After switching Palette's diet to fresh diet a.k.a raw diet, I have realized so many  dog treats that are sold as "all natural dog Jerky treats" have ingredients such as sea salt, garlic, sugar, lecithin(additives),rice flour etc, and also some are fortified with vitamins.

Some Jerky sold as wild caught salmon Jerky is gray colored sandy texture although wild caught salmon is bright orange color, and if manufacturers have used meat as main ingredient,it should be fibrous not sandy texture. It seemed like they had more brown rice flour than actual salmon meat.

What I do not understand is why denature the perfect protein source with added ingredients and use less meat, and bulk them up with added ingredients.

With common sense, you can make Jerky much cheaper if you use less meat and bulk them up with other ingredients but, as quality goes, it is not as good as the one that one protein source is simply being dehydrated without any fillers.

1 single ingredient Jerky is superior in quality and, dog would not need any other flavor enhancing agent in the treats.

Also, some Jerky is preserved with Vitamin E (Mixed tocopherol) and Mixed tocopherols is delivered from soybean oil.

Some dogs, including our K9 executive chef "Palette" reacts to treats preserved with mixed tocopherols.
She starts chewing paws. Therefore,we are very picky about treats.

Some are preserved with rosemary oil. Some dogs (Dogs with EPI) might react to Rosemary in treats because rosemary can be a trigger for seizure for EPI dogs.

We wanted to offer treats made with simple ingredients without any fillers, and you would not find "All natural Jerky treats" that has 39 ingredients in the list at our store.

Our k9 executive chef "Palette" love this Dehydrated Goat liver treats. She gets excited and really works hard to earn the clicks (She is clicker trained) from me when I use this treats as training treats.

Goat is probably be in the top of her favorite meat list. Her nose gets very wet, bubbles around her mouth, and I get a little twirl, twirl, nice sit in front of me if I have this treats. Sometimes, she gets whiny.

 She really loves this treats.

 Ingredient:Goat liver

Palette and Dehydrated Grass fed Goat liver treats

Can you see she is very, very excited to do her doggy school time? Can you see how serious her eyes follow the treats?

You can see how much she loves when you see her in the video

After the video time, I left the table for a moment and here I found her trying to get to her favorite treats. She is working so hard with her stumpy legs.

I think she would wish she had longer legs like Golden Retriever

I found the yummy still on da table!

Maybe I can push this jar with my tongue and get jar-ful of Goat liver tweats?

There... I .am. trying. to. get.to. it. with... gator jump! Urgh!

I am smart Corgi. I am trying from different side of da table.

See? I can tell which one has more treats for me.

I can use my secret trick;grab the paper and pull to my side.

Then, I can get 3 big pieces, not tiny single piece!

Oops! I will be leaving evidence of my snacking behind Mom...

I maybe can reach this tiny piece.

Better than nothing

There!

Being persistent works!
