Palette's Food Market Guide; C&C Meat Sales,MD
As you have already know, our stumpy little dog "Palette" is on fresh food diet a.k.a. raw diet, and she eats wide variety of foods.

Nom,nom,nom.. Love da big meal day!
I am getting stuffed!!
Today, she has enjoyed Omega3 rich oily fish "Herring",chicken feet, Beef heart, whole egg, and sliver of chicken liver.
As soon as she hears me putting down her food mat on the floor, she comes trotting to the kitchen with huge grin with wet nose, eyes on her food and sit down nicely in front of me so she get to eat sooner.
If I were cutting her meal on the kitchen cart so I can freeze those food with portioned amount, you would most likely see her standing up right next to me with her stumpy legs so she can see what I am doing.
She is so excited for her food time and enjoys every bite of it.
I think that more and more people are interested in feeding fresh food as opposed to processed food to their their dogs, and I see people asking others where they get their food from for their furry friends.
What we feed to our furry friends are the same food you would cook with except k9 specific gourmet green tripe. Those are not for human consumption, and you would never find those at grocery stores or butchers. It must be from raw food suppliers or through raw food coop.
Other than that, you can share chicken, pork, beef, lamb etc you would cook for your family.Food for your furry furriends are just being "rare" and yours will be cooked. No time consuming prepping involved.
If you have many dogs in the house, getting food from grocery store in small quantity might be costly and once you know your dogs do eat the food you give them and do fine with it (digestion wise), you would probably start looking places to purchase food in bulk through coop etc.
For that, having a big freezer is a plus.
Recently, I have received booklet from food distributor company that carry bulk meat, and they have told me that they have started offering meat in bulk for those who feed their dogs raw diet.
I thought that passing the information would help those who are interested in buying meat in bulk, and this Palette's Food market Guide series is the buying guide for you to find out where you can get meat for your dogs.
This time the food distributor we spotlight on is called "C&C Meat Sales".
They are in business for more than 30 years and, located in Upper Marboro,MD.
They carry Beef, Poultry,Pork, Lamb etc.. and if you do have freezer and live in MD,VA,DE area, C&C Meat sales might be the good place for you and group of people such as coop to get the food from.
Order is to be picked up at their office by calling sales representative Mary beforehand, but I was told they also do deliveries although they do not ship products with FedEx or UPS like other raw food suppliers would do.
Delivery requirement is 600 lb minimum delivery requirement and $6 fuel charge. The food would come with their company's refrigerated truck and sometimes tractor trailer.
However, they would not do home delivery and would not ship to west coast.
Delivery map can be found here. Yellow colored area is the delivery area.
Here is a price chart.
If you are interested in ordering or have any questions, call or e-mail Sales representative Mary.
Please note that the price can change depending on the availability. Price chart shown is to show you their bulk price as example.
